Maine athletes shine at Toyota Indoor Championships

Maine native Kate Hall (Panther TC) won a National Long Jump title this weekend at the 2019 Toyota USATF Indoor Championships.   Hall jumped 6.51m (21-04.25) on her 4th jump of competition on Saturday at the Ocean Breeze Facility in Staten Island.  The next day, Sunday, Kate Hall opened up the 60m competition with the second fastest qualifying time in 7.28.   Hall improved on the time and ran a 7.23 to claim the runner up spot. 

Also competing on Saturday was David Pless (Bates College Alum) placing 5th in the Men's Shot Put with a Season Bests throw of 20.00m (65-07.50).  

Sunday afternoon Julian Hubbard, an Augusta, Maine native and UMaine Alum, competed in the Men's Triple Jump.  Julian Hubbard jumped a Season's Best 14.54m (47-08.50) for 10th place to edge out his former UMaine teammate and now Boston-North TC teammate Nathaniel Meade (Waterboro, ME/Medomak Valley).  Meade jumped 14.29 (46-10.75) for 11th place overall.
